Double Identity / Podwojna Tozsamosc

I did the makeup for this short film for Karolina Zmarlak's Fall/Winter 2011 collection...  It's stemmed from her childhood growing up in communist Poland, and her collection is inspired by the women of Communism. It's amazing.

Dogs gone wild

I was sitting on my friends patio and we heard these insane dog noises from her neighbors (also friends) place.  Look what we saw!!!!!

Caught red handed.

Vice Magazine funeral makeup

Vice asked me to do creepy caked on funeral makeup for a shoot.... So creepy and awesome.

Raccoon Tail!!!

This is a client of mine who wanted me to give her a "coon tail"..We took a load off her length but left it on the tail... She likes her hair to dry naturally, which is why her back is soaking wet.  Haha, I had to dry the coon tail though so I could see it for myself

Brody Condon, Untitled (2010)

This is one of the strangest shoots I've ever been on, in a good way...   This is what Dis Magazine had to say about it:

In coordination with Saks Fifth Avenue and the PS1 Greater New York Exhibition, Brody Condon was invited to contribute a project to be displayed in the Saks window on 50th St. Brody’s proposal was to film a performance inside Saks itself. To his surprise Saks was familiar with his work and agreed.
The piece, a modification of the Trisha Brown work Accumulation (1971), is a floor-based dance performance based on various seizure-like movements choreographed by Stephen Lichty, who is himself familiar with movement disorders
Check it out:

We got to hang out in Saks before it opened, which was pretty surreal.  We shot in the fur department (gross) and some of the jackets were over $50 G's!!!!  I never knew they were so pricey...no wonder why fur owners get so pissed when people throw paint at them!

Envite Shoot

So much has happened since the last blog, it's embarrassing that I haven't posted anything..  I've been sooo busy, so I'm not complaining!!  Here are some shots from an ecommerce shoot I did for Envite.. You may recognize the dark haired model from that show Survivor.  She was one of the contestants that had to stand on a pole in the water for as long as possible.  I would've lasted for about ten seconds.  But in the end she won peanut butter, and she said it was the best thing she ever had, considering they starve them to death.

BIG GUNS

I've been working on a feature these past couple of weeks called Big Guns.  The crew was so fun to work with.  Good times.  We shot in Asbury Park and I took some photos...Such a rad weird place.
An abandoned theater we shot in front of.

Chris McDonnel is the lead actor and the producer.  He plays a scumbag guy named "McDick".  Great guy, super funny.

Narrow weird hallway we shot in.

The DP, Scott Beardslee, was obsessed with this place.  The crew was going to eat lunch here but it was closed.

Crew shot!

We did a shooting scene where Chris was being shot at.  They had dust bullets in a paintball gun that exploded against the building when shot.  It looked so real, it was awesome!!!!

This is Amanda, she was one of the talents.

Beach scene

The end!

Guitar World Feature!!!

Had the pleasure of doing some grooming for a Guitar World Feature...

Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains

Brent Hinds of Mastadon

Members of Deftones, Alice in Chains, and Mastadon
My kit was minimal this day!  These guys weren't really into the idea of make-up.. ha!
But they were totally cool and we had a great time!!
